Barça to Host Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition over two years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
