Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos confirmed on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his close associates.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his management team confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two close friends.”
